Media and the Future of Communication in the COVID-19 Era

Chapman University’s Vice President for Research, Thomas Piechota and Jennifer Waldeck, Associate Dean of Academic Programs and faculty Development, co-host the next Ask the Experts Research Town Hall on Tuesday, June 8, 2020, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. The panel will be moderated by Chapman Presidential Fellow Joel Kotkin and Hoag Center Research Fellow Marshall Toplansky.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been the primary focus of most media in the past few months. But, according to Gallup, its reputation has suffered more than virtually any institution. Is the media telling an accurate story that people don’t want to hear? Or are they producing misleading narratives? We will hear from a select group of experts across different media platforms.
