We’re growing.

The Center for Opportunity Urbanism has partnered with fellow nonprofit, Urban Reform, and, going forward, will operate under the name Urban Reform Institute (URI).

COU was created to push back against a mindset in cities that shifted focus away from the creation of opportunity and social mobility. We felt that a city’s most important component, it’s middle class, especially families, was being oversimplified, if not flat out ignored, and as Urban Reform Institute, we still feel that way.

The rebranding won’t change the work we do, we’re just joining forces to amplify our message and enhance our effectiveness. We look forward to continuing to deliver the authentic, well-researched, and unique content that you have come accustomed to from us.
